Me: I’ve been thinking of ways to build a car with two engines.

Friend: Why?

Me: Because then it would have two engines.

Friend: But having two engines adds a lot of weight.

Me: True, but it would have two engines! Two engines make double the power!

Friend: B ut you can get double the power by modifying or swapping one engine.

Me: Yes, b ut then it wouldn’t have two engines. I need two engines.

Friend: That doesn’t make any logical sen-

Me: TWO ENGINEESSSS!!!!!!

I’m not exactly sure why I like twin-engine’d things, but I just do. I think they just speak to my inner child in a way that nothing else does. Nothing says “I have absurd power” like a thing with two or more engines ;)

2 supercharged Lampredi twin-cams. The 2nd engine replaced the back seat and powered the rear wheels.

I think about wanting a twin engine plane, then they tell me that the purpose of the second engine is to make up for the d rag, weight and fuel for the second engine.

The V-12 GMC is a 702, i t is basically 2 351 V-6's together. They were somewhat popular in fire trucks. GMC made them from 1960-1965, when they were replaced by a 637 V-8. The 637 was basically the 478 V-6 with 2 more cylinders. It came in both gasoline and Toro-Flow diesel versions.

The proper use of multi engines. Two hemis on in front and one in back driving each axel.

Add all wheel steer and you have a very cool machine.
