Air is not an ideal gas tho

It’s close enough; I mean, I could’ve added the compressibility factor, but I didn’t think it was necessary.

We aren't in a vacuum, there is always friction, there is always gravity, and don't forget about quantum mechanics! No wonder basic level physics classes seemed so easy..

I basically forgot this was a thing since im in Los Angeles now where “cold” is below 50 (or 60 really for most people here). But in the valley it gets into the 30s/40s as an extreme low in winter. So I actually had to add air in my miata since the tires dropped down to about 20psi cold. I noticed because they were squeaking way too much in my garage. I tend to run them low anyways because grip >> gas mileage but that was too extreme!

True
‘ Close enough’ - thats the engineer’s way (im one too)

Wait, are you telling me cows aren’t spherical objects with no volume?

It rarely gets all that cold here in Austin, but I can rely on the first freeze setting off the TPMS in my wife’s Civic. Then I inflate to +10%.

Yup. What font did you use for that?

Good old Comic Sans was actually appropriate, for a change.

No, I’m pretty sure that one was true.

At least tell me ropes don’t have mass, or else everything will be a lie

I am sitting in the office here and my toes are literally icicles.
I think my foot air pressure has gone so low, I have extreme traction in sand right now

I think the ropes are a little tricky. They only have mass when they are important to the system, and are massless when they’re not. Clearly we just need to figure out how to build things out of unimportant ropes.

Yeah, mine have been a PITA the past 2 weeks. Seems like every other day one of the tires drops like .5 psi below the setoff.

You just add in a comprehensibility factor then, so PV=znRT.
Really, you just need Gay-Lussac’s Law to show that the pressure and temperature are proportional.
