I miss huge convertible cars. Stuff like this was dirt cheap in the 80s. Buddy had one similar to this and another guy had a LTD convertible. Good times and fun cars but insultingly slow in stock form.

They were too huge and wallowy to be quick. And of course hog tied by emissions regs.
Still love them anyways.

Same.
Head change and cam would do wonders for the malaise era cars

Yeah although it won’t fix the porkiness issue, it will still add a lot of fun.

If I had a spot in my garage for one of these Centurions , I’d already have one as a weekend car. When I was young, one of my great uncles had one and it was a total boat. An awesome, floaty, slow boat.
With everything getting bigger these days, why are standard garage stalls and doors getting smaller? My great uncle’s house was built in the 60s and he had room for a Centurion and an Olds 98. Then later a mid 80s S uburban. All of these vehicles fit with room to open doors and walk around all sides of the cars. My current garage, built in 2017, is only 7 inches longer than this Buick and I would only be able to open the door facing the middle of the garage. *Sigh.

I’m not a huge classic car guy but a ‘71-’73 Buick is o n my shortlist of ones to buy if I ever have enough money to do so.
