I realized something a while ago. If you look for cars named after cats, there is no short supply. There’s the Sunbeam Tiger, Mercury Cougar, De Tomaso Pantera, Reliant Kitten, Jaguar... The list goes on and on. But if you look for cars named after dogs, the list is a whole lot smaller. There’s the AC Greyhound:
T he Bedford Beagle:
And, of course, the Mitsubishi Flying Pug:
But as far as I can tell, there’s not much else, unless you count trucks and bu ses, in which case there’s also Bulldog and another Greyhound. Which is a shame, because there are loads of great dog types out there that would make fantastic car names. Wh ippet would be a great name for a small, Miata-like sports car, Collie could work for a family wagon, Spaniel would make a nice name for a GT car, Rott weiler or Doberman could easily be names for muscle cars, Vizsla would be a good name for a supercar or something like a TVR, and Schnauzer could work for... something. Those names would at least be better than another string of random letters and numbers, right?

A Cavalier is a dog, but the car may be named for the adjective.
A Fox is like a dog...

W oah. Of all the manufacturers to make a car called the Whippet, Willys is just perfect. So satisfyingly alliterative!

There is a Bulldog which isn’t a truck or bus.
Granted, it was a one-off — but production was planned.
It’s the Aston Martin Bulldog. At around 600 horsepower, it was crazy fast for the time.
It’s a shame they weren’t able to make more.

Not quite sure if that should be counted, but it’s well-named, so we’ll count it anyway :)

How about The Cocker Spaniel?
You have to read it in an English accent for added effect, with emphasis on the " COCKKH"

Hahaha her near sarcastic cadence and over enunciation like she's teaching a group of 4 year olds killed me

Perhaps one of the reasons that there aren’t more cars named for dog breeds is that there are many cars that were dogs, even straight from the factory.
Personally though, I would take on an Alfa Romeo Marremma - which would be a spectacular looking small 4x4 flatbed utility that is overpowered, single-minded and extremely safe...that also spends a lot of time resting and quite a lot of time needlessly making a glorious noise.
