It is NEVER acceptable to stop on the tracks. I won’t ever enter a grade crossing unless there is room to clear on the other side.

I worked in the railroad industry for 8 years. Everyone else I knew in the industry has a healthy fear of grade crossings . Because they’ve seen what a train can do to a car.
