I don’t hate this.
I am reminded at the limited vocal range of the lead singer tho.
another good cover

A few years ago, I got tickets to see "an evening with Cake" as a birthday gift. Late summer, outdoor venue. Cake played a full set, took a break, gave away a fruit tree, and then a full concert's worth of songs. It was great.

Same, on both accounts.
My 6 year old is constantly requesting “The Distance”.
Lots of kid-friendly
Cake in their
rotation.

I claim Cake for Gen X.

These Generation definitions can’t even agree with themselves. One article said gen y is 80-84 an other said Millennials are 81-97. Which I’d be almost in the middle of. I was born in 90.

Most people think that music “belongs” to what ever age groups were teens at the time. If that’s the case Cake belongs to Gen Y. With their biggest 3 albums being between 97-01.
But I had older siblings to guild be toward good music so I was listening to them at 8.
Also generation definitions are BS. (Yes I realize that I’m the one that brought them up. Lol

Fashion Nugget was ‘96, just after my senior year. Definitely a very late X, early Y band. I just feel like their sound is more X than Millennial, but what do I know, really?
