Yes, that’s a question. And yes, that’s an answer. However, I don’t think the two of them exactly go together...

Since “close at midnight” isn’t even a sentence it’s just as likely to be a question as it is an answer.
Maybe some one clicked the wrong thing and meant to ask “close at midnight?”

I never said it was a good answer...

Yesterday I was looking up info for a local restaurant. I saw a section of reviews and the first one started “I’ve never actually been there...” You know that’s the sign of a helpful review.

This is like those Amazon listings where someone asks a question and multiple people respond with, "I don't know." If you don't know, you have no business responding, Boomer.

The quality of user answers really makes me weep for our educational system. What really gets me are the Amazon ones that are like “I don’t know” or “I haven’t tried it”. People who both don’t understand that these answers won’t be helpful to anyone and miss that Amazon has an “I don’t know” button specifically to steer them away from submitting useless answers.

Maybe “close” is meaning close distance? So that the copy
machine isn’t expec
ted to wander too
far away at midnights. It could one of those nocturnal copy machines that goes hunting during the darkest hours but has only
a very small
territory.

I get r equests from Amazon to answer questions about items I bought. I ignore them if I can’t give a good answer.
Apparently some
people can’t help themselves and feel they must
answer
just because they were asked.

Even worse are technical support forums where somebody posts a question and instead of helpful answers you see 30 replies that say “ I’m having this problem too”!
