Apparently they’ve hung a $4.8 million dollar chandelier from the underbelly of the Granville Street Bridge.

Installed outside Vancouver House our newest lure for Chinese money. I guess its “art” but... jesus.

A few years ago there was a reform in the city’s laws so that the government could rent out the space under bridges (mind you, this is a city with lots of seismic activity) ... it supposedly reduces crime, and increases income for the city... I can only imagine it makes life harder for homeless people.

They are building “edgy” luxury condos for the guillotine class here, too.   Make dirty money feel cool and hip when it is buying residency.

In a supposedly advanced place with a socio-economic chasm like the lower mainland, that chandelier deserves to be vandalized.
