...she noticed all dashboard lights came on and she claims she turned of the engine, i believe the engine turned its self off

Update : so she’s lucky that the engine is an 8 valve engine. We looked everywhere, tested everything and the engine is not damaged. It’s running right now. She got really really lucky.

Bolt came loost and fell off, no idea how he was driving with it. We took it around the block and first turn we made almost wrote the thing off.

...This particular vehicle was used exclusively for advertisements/ still shots/ short cut scenes in the tv show. It is 1 of 4 if I remember correctly, 5 if you include the original batmobile. So it is designed to look EXACTLY like the batmobile, but without some of the functionality of the original design.

We didn’t really think that much oil was in there. We sucked out about 1 quart. And probably shot out another...

It was a 2019 Toyota Tacoma. Customer was off-road and went on its side for awhile. The thing has 6000 miles on it.

...two camshaft bearings failed from lack of lubrication...

I guess Techline is seeing a string of these issues.. Somehow something blocks an oil passage and starves the cam and turbo of oil.

Suuuper sketchy. Whole thing wanted to pull out of the oil pan. Showed the service writer before hand and they explained to the customer we aren’t responsible if something goes wrong. Customer was cool with that. Didn’t want to pay for a new oil pan. Made sure to document it all over the RO.

I didn’t do this, but spoke to a tech that said it’s safe “since the leaf springs are connected to the frame”

Engine still runs like a top. Valves rattle like hell.

...The drain was plugged and actually removed from the tank but still didn’t drain... The hole was plugged with rust. Had to do a back alley abortion on her to get it to drain.

60 gallon compressor means it can hold 50 gallons of water before it sprays it, right?

Also that bias ply tire is way older than 25 yr .

So many dumb decisions...my personal favourite is the diffplosion. However, the tech fail on both the oil locked engine and the Canyon lift were also gratifying.
