Looks like I am going to be joining the garage owners club. Our offer was accepted.

If anyone knows anyone in Metro Vancouver looking for a nice place in a wonderful neighbourhood for the mid $400K (CAD) range, let me know!

Damn I wish condos could be found that cheap down here! While you didnt have a particularly large place before like you said the neighborhood is great and it seemed like a nice place from creeping on your photos. Same thing would be easily $700k or more around here. Ive gotta go live out in the desert three hours from anything to find stuff that cheap.

But anyways, congrats on the new place. Garage at home is my number one pipe dream some day.

I know there are always a ton of caveats and “what ifs” when you’re buying a house so you don’t want to get too excited but just the likelihood is really exciting.

Congrats! I hope it all goes well for you! Also, now that you have a garage and I don’t, this means I will import my FIAT 126p and you can store it in BC for me until I get a place/garage of my own, a nd then road trip it back to me...right ? :P

id say im about 45 from downtown LA as well, again without traffic (could easily take 2+ hours at rush hour). But yeah you could probably find a forclosure on a street with at least a dozen burned RV carcasses/abandoned industrial waste zones in a similar radius in that range. But yeah i understand how expensive it is up there too in general. Im just jealous of your new garage space and look forward to all of the posts about how clean it will be.

100%!! We bought just off lougheed in...............Maple Ridge.

No choice but to move there really, in order to move up.  Hopefully we can put in 5 years or so here and buy a home somewhere else.

It does have insurance on it. I’ve driven it twice now , so I know the km’s! If you want to pay for the shipping and export from Singapore, maybe. 2022 can’t come fast enough :(

The  trust who  sold us  this home chose us over an “investor” who was offering cash because they were worried about someone destroying the home they grey up in, or stripping it down for a quick flip.
