G ear selectors on EVs should only be placed on the column or the dash . Any BEV without the gear selector there should be scrapped immediately .

I think it should be a combined accelerator/transmission foot pedal...just like on a lawn mower with a hydrostatic gearbox. How's that for a hawt take?

No I mean just having it on the column doesn’t mean it works like the traditional column gear selector.’cos it doesn’t.

After 2.5 years of i3 driving, I now reach for a column shifter in almost every other car I drive.
