The Porsche must have been going pretty fast. Two dead. I’d guess it hit the curb and flipped/catapulted into the house.

Do we know if those killed were in the car or the building? I’m guessing car but who knows?

From the linked article : “Sgt. Vincent Pedalino said the building was unoccupied at the time of the crash, which occurred at 6:30 a.m.”
I think the fools in the Porsche were killed...

Jeez...How fast do you have to go for a crub to launch you off what seems like 10 feet...

It looks like two in the car. Real estate office was not open at the time. Add itional info from Asbury Park Press.

If I recall correctly, you’re familiar with the Jersey shore. It was at a bend in Hooper Ave.
My Dad used to live around t he corner off Fischer Blvd.

I can’t get my head around the physics that allows a curb to put a car 20 feet in the air in a building 20 yards away.

jeez....second floor...and that house is a good ways away from the road.....they musta been flying before they went flying

I’m guessing there’s a bit of a slope up to the parking lot, but they still would have needed to carry a lot of through that brush to get there:
Maybe they could have clipped that guy wire, but that plastic cover looks pretty pristine in the photos.

Damn, this is nearby! Usually cops posted all over that road too.

Yeah, looks like big speed now the road and then didn’t follow the curve at all (from the tracks, presumably they tired to stop and or turn but were going way to fast to do so without losing control).

Edit: I think you’re right, i t was to the left of that pole. 200+ feet.
If the front of the car hit that curb and started the launch, it’s still a good 140+ feet to the building from that sidewalk. Pure speculation, but that’s a crazy distance/speed.

Yeah from the pictures it looks more like it did something like this:
Which yeah, pretty insane. A little hard to tell due to the compressed perspective, but if anything it looks close to more southern telephone pole than the one by the entrance in terms of where those tire tracks hit the curb.

Holy crap, I did not realize the building was that far away from the road!

Yeah....I’d agree closer to the southern pole. Maybe one or two cartwheels and then liftoff.

No idea where it went airborne, but here’s the other angle of the 200 ft. distance.
