It’s complete magic and I wish I could own one. Supercruise and the Blackwing V8s are also a mazing. Any questions about the car?

Correct, it works on the vast majority of interstates and major highways. Unlike Tesla’s system you dont need to hold the steering wheel, the car watches your eyes to ensure you’re paying attention.

It makes turbo noises and a deep throaty almost AMG like growl. Redline is only 6k so it doesnt shriek.

GM is famous for their shitty interiors, even in expensive cars. A $100k car with a 10 k- car interior

those are really nice looking sedans - started to see a few out in the wild, (though probably not Blackwings...) Super nice to very rapidly eat up highway miles.

The problem is they put a $20K e ngine in a $60K car. S hould be $80K new unless they tweak the interior and make the front styling more refined (like the Elmiraj concept).

I agree but only partly. Yes, Cadillac needs to offer really amazing cars to be considered at such price point... But I can’t help but feel like the Germans are given more slack when it comes to design and tech.

The interior is actually very nice. Everything you touch and see is leather, metal, or wood (carbon fiber if you get the V). The seats are super comfy, but dont expect to carve corners as the bolstering is nowhere near a sport seat. The infotainment is a variant of the system in my GMC - that is to say miles better than the old CUE trainwreck. Only big complaints from me are the defrost takes a weirdly long time to clear the windshield and I wish the steering wheel could move inward slightly more to fit my body proportions better.

There’s definitely bias but this car at that price point is competing against the likes of the Audi S7, BMW 7-series, Mercedes S-class ... it’s pretty stiff competition. They need to hit every measure of performance, style and quality to be able to charge $100K for something that will depreciate quickly.

Curious how it compares to a TRUE CTS-V

I am a V owner (it's my daily driver) a nd just don’t think this compares but I haven’t driven one of these either. What's your thoughts?

I didn’t drive the CT6- V so I cant speak to that, but it surprised me how agile this car was. Looking at the specs the CT6 is lighter than the standard CTS and the hp/lb ratio right around a Camaro SS. So on paper , it’s very fast. But because of how the car is tuned and setup, it doesnt feel like it. It feels much more like a high grand tourer made for soaking up highway miles, but you know the second you put your foot down you can pass anything on the road. It’s so quiet and refined that even when you’re pushing the car hard it is very calm. The only CTS-V I’ve ridden in was the opposite.

I just picked up CT6 3.0L TT w/404HP its plenty fast, w/super cruise. Its nice, couldnt get a CT6-V weren’t available. But I love it, its packed with technology and panaray Bose stereo is impressive.

How does it sound? I love the old school Chevy v8 sound, turbo spools, and blow off valves. Does the black wing deliver on either one of those sounds?
