If you imagine all the drunks causing trouble at various restaurants as the hungry Canadian at the hotel, it makes a lot of sense. Poor guy was starving.

BUT IT WAS AN EMOTIONAL SUPPORT GUINEA PIG
In all seriousness, the whole wrong-location 911 thing is a little scary. I called when I hit an elk at 2 am and there wasn’t enough of a shoulder to get my vehicle fully off the road, and I had to be transferred to a different jurisdiction (that also wasn’t yet able to triangulate location by cell towers). Luckily it wasn’t really an emergency but it took awhile to explain where I was. Also thankfully they decided not to make me wait around for a state trooper to file a report because the nearest officer was 3 hours away.

I had to scroll down quite a bit to find mention of canine misbehavior. Flathead County must be moving upscale.
Also, a call for lasagna is totally a believable emergency situation.
Also, I don’t see anything about a Whitefish man spending the night in a cell with his Datsun impounded. So, you must have had a sedate birthday.

You drove away from hitting an elk? Were you driving a tank?

My datsun is partially disassembled pending some rust repair. I may get to take it out on Friday weather pending. You do not want to drive a Z on ice or snow covered roads, it’s very dangerous.

I believe you.
I hope the rust isn’t too bad.

It’s the battery box and inner fender rotted from spilled battery acid . I can stabilize it for now with fancy coatings but in the long run I will have to replace some sheet metal. This is the worst of it on the entire car. It’s amazing that it is as rust free as it is considering age.

That was my old Civic. I didn’t hit him square on, thankfully. Smashed up the drivers front fender and door a bit, mostly un drive able in the immediate aftermath because his face (chin?) shattered my windshield. No airbags deployed or anything. My neighbor is still driving that car!

I swear, some people just call the police because no one else will visit or talk to them, and the cops are legally required to.
