Loved it. Is about life, family, racing, obsession, responsibility.
Particularly interesting I found that Frank Williams is not a perfect man. He may have been incredibly fit and passionate about cars and racing. But he also has made many mistakes, is a poor communicator, selfish and far from a perfect father or family man. He really just spent his life around racing because it’s the only thing he cares about.
I wish I was as passionate as him about anything, or half as able to forgive my own follies and failings.
Senna and Williams: similar movies, great movies both. Hope The Art of Racing in the Rain turns out somewhere in the ballpark. Critics suggest not.

The Art of Racing in the Rain wasn’t the book, for sure, but it was good. It was just as much about racing as the book was, which is not a lot.

As a husband and father, it was really hard to watch at times, especially the end.

As neither of those things I also found it hard to watch toward the end

Frank, you have to read the book.

Will you read it before you die?
I think so. But I’ve no desire to.

Brutal.
I mean, I get it, to a point. The guy just isn’t equipped to deal with emotion, so he avoids it at all costs. He knows if he reads it, he won’t be able to keep his emotions in check.
It’s just so sad, though. The greatest gift my dad gave me was that I never once questioned how much he loved me.

I think it says a lot about the man. How he’s not some perfect hero, he’s into F1 but there’s plenty of stuff that doesn’t matter to him much. And some of it probably should
