I think that’s the biggest reason I could never teach professionally. I can’t do names unless I’ve seen the name written down next to a face, and even then I’m weak.

I’m terrible with names. I always recognize people, but just go “Hey, how’s it going man?” while frantically trying to remember their name in my mind.

Yep, same here.  Even when I come up with the name, I’m almost never confident enough to actually say it.
