The giant Clarkson head finally finds a purpose in tonight's Grand Tour episode.

Thanks for reminding me to watch GT.

Last week's episode was awful enough to make me not care... Is this week's worth watching?

I’m only halfway through right now. The out of tent bits are kinda scattered all over the place so far. It seems rather improvised.

Improvised sounds better than last week's scripted, formulaic garbage.

And here I was thinking it was just a viral marketing stunt.

It really felt like they got there the day of filming, found out they had 3 pickup trucks, and then had to ask "What are we supposed to do with pickups?"

Gonna call it now: They’re going to be called transphobic... maybe even on Jalopnik if Elizabeth Werth watched it.
I don’t think it was, even I had a laugh. :)

Definitely worse than the first week. Probably a little better than last week’s.

I’m not sure what to make of that segment. It kinda makes the show look bad when combined with the Jeep shenanigans last week. It feels like the writing has really gone down hill since previous seasons.

The Columbia special’s writing made me cringe. Not because of the gay jokes - “Lesbian ... b acon? No, what is it? Lesbian, bacon, transgender” made me laugh (come on, it’s a fair bit when they keep adding letters) - but because it was just completely lazy from there.
Just completely shit writing with no effort .

They’ve certainly made their content a lot more “ edgy” . I feel like they’re intentionally doing that because they no longer have the censorship that comes with being on public tv.
Tonight’s segment could have been handled much better. What made me more okay with it was May’s attempts to point out that it was really a serious subject and the two examples they brought up were in fact people abusing the system. Had they taken the Dave Chappelle cringy-offensive approach I probably would have been a bit disgusted.

I’ve been vindicated for my unloved comment about the E-Tron, finally!

It needed purpose other than to hold his ego?
