Nice skis in the background, too - I’ll be going out XC tomorrow night because it’ll be snowing. I use crappy old skis and ski around my local roads when it snows hard. Fun as hell going down the big hills. Then bust back through my woods trails to get home. I digress.

Magnesium chloride to prevent snow from sticking to the roads before storms but Mainly in western  Montana. The rest of the state just gets plowed and sanded and gets limited salt treatments since it is so much drier.

Oh yes, but I remember in the 80s snow being lik e a canyon to drive through in a lifted Bronco, around Red Lodge.
