It’s always impressive to me to see a ship that big, and realize that it is much smaller than the standard for international commercial shipping. Even Panamax ships were considered inefficient (which is why we have new locks on the Panama canal), and Seaway max is even smaller than that (and are unlikely to get bigger, because most exported mid-western grain goes to Asia rather than Europe these days) .
