Makes sense. The seller probably has other listings for other parts from the car. Might even have done the swap himself to know which parts to include in the kit (not everyone expects to have to swap the ECU, and I’m guessing the matching key is probably necessary for the security system or something like that).

IS300s are drive by wire and will go into limp mode if there’s a trans issue and the ECUs are unflashable so a manual ECU is required for a trans swap, or a complete standalone ECU which very few people have. The key is for the security system, yes. And once you have one matched key you can reprogram as many keys as you want by doing a push-the-brake-pedal-and-cycle-the-ignition tap dance.
