No 6MT with AWD. I know, I know, stereotypical Oppo response, but I would give such a thing a good look.

I think the only manual AWD sedan/hatch left that isn’t some sort of crossover is the Impreza and that’s a 5-speed (though they do stick the 6MT in the Crosstrek and VW offers one in the 4Motion Golf wagon). I guess there is the WRX and Golf R too but that’s kind of a different price realm.

The appropriate response.

FCA will gladly sell you a 5-door in the US with a 6MT no A/C and crank windows. Too bad it costs $33k.

True. But they aren't as sexy as the Mazda...

Tl;dr does “Sport” = hatchback?

In Canada, yes.

I prefer “ Sport” to “ 5-door”
No one will ever be able to convince me the rear hatch is a door. IT’S A HATCHBACK, NOT A DOORBACK

interesting - is GS cloth seats or the weird “pleather” ? That FWD Sport GS 2.5 with the stick could be very appealing... And to jump into the “sport” vs “hatch” vs “5dr” - I always called mine a “ 5dr hatch” , so I guess I’m just all messed up...

But that about a new Mini Clubman? Is that a 6 door?

Don’t you dare...

that no a/c one would be nice but Mazda Australia definitely won’t offer it here.
