The grill looks like a Chevy without the bowtie.

I’ve actually heard one in person. There is a company down the street from my work that tests prototype cars. I mostly see Camo’d crossovers but they did have a Camo’d mustang about 6 months ago. I just parked when it rolled by so I couldn’t grab a picture but it sounded killer, even with the DCT farts

I poked around one a couple of months ago. the roar of it starting up inside a concrete garage was, shall we say, goose-bump-inducing.

I’d like mine to look as understated as possible. But sound like this, haha.

You work for Ford or one of the suppliers/Dealers ? Will you have to kill me if you told me how you got access to one?

At this level it’s all about 0-60 and quarter mile times for better or worse. At least the regular GT has manual option and Gt350 is manual-only

Idle sounds like it has a rattle to it. Wonder if that’s the plastics getting shaken loose. Probably just the s/c.

Roush?

I wish Ford had offered the Liquid Blue used on the show cars on more than just the GT. I settled for Lightning Blue on my GT350, but it doesn’t have quite the same color depth.

No, they just do driving tests of prototypes. I’m assuming most manufacturers outsource the mundane tests to companies like this. I haven’t seen much that was cool, like I said, mostly crossovers. But I did spot the gladiator and a truck with e-trons. Shitty pictures of those below haha

That’s actually a major part of Roush’s business. They’re mostly an engineering firm that does testing and prototyping for automotive OEMs; the hopped-up Fords and racing activities are more of a side thing.

You’re correct that a significant portion of on-road testing is out-sourced to companies like this. Most OEMs have their proving grounds, of course, but if you’re running, say, a city-cycle oil consumption test, it makes more sense to outsource it.

TIL. That is pretty neat. Had no idea but it makes sense. Making a living on tuning fords did not work so well for saleen haha.
It is not Roush, though. Just another small time engineering firm from what I can tell.

Much want. But I know I won’t buy because I refuse to pay over sticker for a car. But that would be a great replacement for my Roush!

Yea and that is dumb. Stupid video game generation. I hate em and i am one of them.

You work for Ford
yes.
Will you have to kill m e if you told me how you got access to one?
no. one came into my lab for calibration work. I poked around it for a bit, figured out what it was, then kept my mouth shut until today when it was publicly unveiled.
I like my job and want to keep it :)
