Gold, black, and two red sets of metal valve stem covers for a grand total of 54 cents. Purchased using only eBay bucks. Thinking I’ll just turn around and sell them for a couple bucks or maybe just keep it festive with rotating sets of valve stem covers. Who knows?! Either way, free money well spent.
I always make it a goal to buy as many things as possible with the change I get as “cashback” from eBay. I’ve collected a lot of weird stuff. I’m thinking these may be the most profitable in the end.

Hate those things, bought a set of wheels once that had some on, couldn’t get them off as they had corroded themselves onto the valve, so had to cut them off and revalve the wheel

I bought something similar from the local auto parts store for about a buck. Put them on and the plastic inner liner detached from the metal body. I was so disappointed I went in and returned one set to get my dollar back.

Aluminum is a terrible choice for valve stem cap material for this very reason.

It’s not just eBay parts, it’s the dissimilar metals. You need to put a little bit of dielectric grease on there to keep them from corroding onto the valve stem.
