Of course the VIN starts with a 1 so it’s not really Japanese, but hopefully it’ll be Japanese enough.
It’s an ‘09 EX-L with the 2.4l I4 so it’s not the most exciting thing in the world but it’s pretty clean and I figure it should be pretty reliable for the next year or two while I wrap up school. I’ll buy something a little more exciting when I have a big boy job. For now, I’ll look forward to 30+ mpg on the highway and having a car that works.

What led to this ? Was it the Germans or the Americans?

Nice! The Ohio Hondas are just as reliable as Japanese ones. really
, and parts are just as easier to come by.

I remember my dad buying a new 04 accord from Sloane back in 03. My 04 Land Cruiser was also always maintained there before i brought it to NC!

Yes! I got a good deal on it since it’d been sitting a while because evidently not too many people are looking for manual Accord sedans. Plus I don’t have to worry about the trans dying like it did in my last car.

The Americans, plus a dose of fear of the Germans from a student who only works part time.

Nice! I had a pretty good experience with them. I think Honda corporate must do a pretty decent job of keeping the dealers reputable, I haven’t heard too many horror stories about Honda dealers.

A friend of mine has a Marysville 7th Gen that’s well past 250k, runs like a top, pretty sure it’s got the original K20 with the 5 speed that’s rightly maligned for being explodey.

Awesome! I edited my original comment because I wasn't sure.
