I got my pro gamer teenagers giant mousepads for Christmas. They love them. I’m a trackpad guy myself.

im a professionally sucky gamer.... but i do love me the big mats... dont need it for games as ive got sensi tivity set to twitch in those... but for everything else i like having the space

I was a pro PacMan gamer, but that’s as far as I ever went. I learned and memorized the pattern , and could basically play forever on a single quarter.

i dont take gaming seriously... clues in the name for me... game... when it stops being fun i quit

(nowadays that is..... i used to be pretty fanatic... but that was back when unreal tournament was about as complicated as it got for controls to memorize)

I haven’t used a mousepad since back in the ball-mouse days. Optical tracks well enough on my desks (well most of my desks, at a previous job the optical mouse they issued had problems, I ended up just bringing in a spare MX1000 to replace it) that they don’t need a special surface, and even that tiny bit of extra elevation on a mousepad makes my w rist uncomfortable. Maybe I could use one of those weird full-desk pads kinja deals pushes sometimes, but I’m happy without.

on my old not exactly a desk my optical mouse tracked fine... better on a pad tho

i now have a glass desk... mousey no likey... at all
