Even with the title, I thought this was an Aston at first. Like a Vantage Shooting Brake render or something. It’s far too attractive and impractical to be a Clownshoe .

If only BMW actually had the balls to make it.

Looks like a Corvette banged a new Volvo, a Corvolvo.

Ha, that’s true. It’s somewhere in between the Clownshoe and the Z4 coupe.

That sloping roofline isn’t very clownshoe like

It actually reminded me of the Volvo C30.

The C-pillar is kind of chunky, and could be resolved slightly better, but the rear window rake, and tail lights/brake lights are nicely done.
With a rear hatch that opens into the roofline, a high lift-over can be forgiven (likely no different than the roadster’s lift-over height.)
I think Ferrari GTC Lusso pulls off the theme slightly better, with slightly sharper rear quarter lines, but a new Z4 shooting brake/hatchback in the mode of P1800ES, or MGB-GT, etc... would be an interesting car. Even if it were more of a traditional fastback, like the previous Z4 coupe, and the platform-mate Supra, it will still be interesting to see if Z4 coupe comes into existence.

I don’t doubt it. With it’s sloping roofline and canted hatch, t his seems even less practical.

Yes please.
This is what the Calloway Shooting Brake should have been. Kinda looks like a Corvette from the front too.

Came here to say the same thing.
