Noticed this new scrape on the E92 this afternoon. No idea where it came from, I certainly didn’t hit anything. If this was on the M3, I’d be pretty pissed, but seeing the current state of the bumper on the 3:
I’m not really upset, it’s hard to tell how rough it is. It’s littered with rock chips and the previous owner scraped the hell out of the bottom. If I have the car for long enough, these issues will eventually
get addressed.

Well definitely don’t look at my bumper, ever, then. E90 M-sports are way too low for anything in San Francisco and mine looks like I drove through a farm at 90 mph. You probably brushed a curb with yours.

I have a few scrapes that have showed up on my Accent that I never put there, so I feel your pain :/

That looks like a tire mark. Either you snuggled a truck’s AT tire or it snuggled you.

The bottom is cause I bottomed out the bumper on a street. It's the damage above it.

Looks like a rubber scuff. A light polish should remove it.
If you want to address some of the chips, buy a chip-stick but instead of using the brush, use the sharp end of a cocktail stick and stiple the paint in.

Kinda like the spot on my passenger rear fender where the paint looks like it just got rubbed off. No idea how it happened.

I think it would be easier to just source another bumper, the other side is in poor condition after I hit a possum doing 60 last year.

You hit a possum doing 60? How fast were you going to hit it? I didn’t know a possum could run 60. Lol.
