I always wondered what happened to all the cool custom vans. In the ‘70s and ‘80s, they were everywhere, then they disappeared overnight. With how many there were, you’d think you’d come across one for sale a little more frequently.

Their out there. I’ve got a buddy at work with a cool old Dodge stick shift. He sent me this. It’s a tight group of guys that own these and they sell quick but they are also  mostly older so I expect to see more come up.

In my area whole bunches of them became painter and handyman vans.  In the early 2000s you’d see them with ladder racks and house paint spilled all over them.  There’s a hippy housepainter that specializes in doing only homes in our neighborhood who has a really rough old white Chevy van (with gold and red stripes) that is still plugging away.
