And all I can think is good god just let me know the price.
I may or may not be very seriously considering buying one...

A dollar more than another car you’d seriously consider instead?

I'd hazard a guess around the $45k mark

More in the area of I dont need a car for any real reason other than pleasure, so if it hits a certain price point I’ll probably hold off on getting a car for another few years.
Not really cross shopping too deeply though.

The price is $Mustang GT x 1.2

See thats my guess too.
But the Jalop guys keep thinking more around 60k, which with some options I would understand, but not base model.

It seems like their competition is the Cayman so I’d expect it closer to 60. That being said, if it’s that cheap then may actually have a winner on their hands.

With typical dealer stuff that seems to be the value of the base model Z4s so it should be similar. However I can easily see top of the line models going for the 60-70k mark.

Can’t wait to see the ADM

I bet only the 4 cylinders will be less than $50k. Closer to $60k at launch for the straight 6

Good god just let me see it.

What is base model vs top end model? Have they confirmed multiple engine options ?
![]() 09/20/2018 at 15:25 |

I know of two engines confirmed. A 4 cylinder and the BMW 6.

The last Supra cost $60,000 in 2018 dollars at launch (for the base model, the Turbo started at $70,000 in today’s money) . Every indication is that this one is trying to be even more upmarket, I’d be very surprised if it starts less than $70,000 and would not be shocked if they ask $100,000 for it.

That seems way low to me. It would be substantially less than the inflation-adjusted price of the previous Supra, and there’s no indication they are planning to go down-market with it.

Wow, didn’t know about the 4 cylinder. That should be interesting, it d oes make a 45k price tag seem a little more believable.

It’s going to MSRP around $65k base , figure $85-95k after 2 optio n packages are added, and with the dealer markup.

I’m getting rather bored of this car already, and I haven’t seen it yet. It’s like the Acura NSX, so much info, promise and teasing but it really feels like they are just dragging this along for so long.

But hard to swallow, because 4 cylinder.

Regardless of price, safe to say it won’t be quicker than an M235i
sorry for lack of audio

Lol, at least $60k. This is gonna be an expensive car.
![]() 09/21/2018 at 00:03 |

Indeed. This car is doomed, bring on that mid engine Corvette thing!

There is a really ostentatious part of me that wants a Supra under the assumption that it wont sell well. I like the idea of buying a car that might be considered rare even while in production.
But you’re right, it probably wont be faster than the M235i

Vid above is me chasing the mule in my M235i for like 20 miles. He couldn’t get away.
