After renting one, Boxster is Always the Answer, even in the middle of the US of A. Thirstier than I thought however.

How’s the handling and power compared to a Miata? I had a ‘94 and loved go-kart-ness but thought it needed more power.

More powerful than a Miata, and the handling was great to my untrained butt. Though it was the pre-PDK automatic.

first gen Boxsters are getting supid cheap too. I’m just scare of the maintenance .
on the flip side half the appeal of the Miata is that they are low maintenance , and cheap to fix when you need too. like a RWD 2 seat er Corolla.

After previously owning a Miata, I think a Boxster may be my next droptop.

And it had a power droptop!

I’d prefer a manual top over power, but them’s the breaks.

You want an 98 to 00. Those were manual tops and didn’t have the IMS issue.
Actually, I want one as well....
