Careful what you wish for, you might end up with something like this:
Which I guess wouldn’t be any worse than any other pickup. This would be bad though:

I don’t hate it. It’d be like a more luxurious and off road capable Ridgeline

Nah. I saw a 1960's (I think) RHD International Harvester with the top off driving down the road today. I was driving too, so I couldn’t grab a DOTS.

I had an older version. Series 3 Stage 1. Factory S3 with leaf suspension and drum brakes coupled with the AWD driveline from a Range Rover. Was a RAAF runway chaser. Previous owner had rebuilt the engine and stroked it to what we suspect was 4.4 litres with headers and a bespoke exhaust system.
Picture if you can a Series 3 doing 160 km/h (100 mph for the heathens) whilst the driver is driving a small lorry, perched on a foam block, clutching a bus wheel whilst being held down by a lap sash belt, surrounded by a a number of wildly vibrating pieces of metal. I mean the door tops would bend outwards and then flap!
