Post cars that aren’t front engined.
They’re just more fun.
While typing this I remember I had a dream last night that I was showing someone a heavily modified Corvair that had two sets of controls. I did a mild sk
id which was cool, careful not to overdo it on account of the rear enginedness. Then my passenger tried, fucked it, went into the wrong lane and had a head on with an Alfa Giulia. We were fine but three people died somehow. Weirdly it was in a small town I used to live in.
I had to type this out twice since kinja deleted the content whil e I was choosing a pic.

Woo! This is a good one. I prefer the 360 but there’s no 360 targa. I might prefer a 308 but I’m sure this is a better car.
ps is this yours? there’s a guy on here who has one, i’m not good at looking at user names

There’s always one

Yasss. Fascinating car right?
Post mid-engined rear-drive
production Toyotas
from the 90s

Interesting, a rear engine Integra eh?

I saw a roadster the other day. Wacky as hell.
Great posts, thanks!

It’ll do.

I’m a big fan of the later Clio V6, but this will do as well ;) I can’t even imagine the fun this would be on a wet open road

Jesus christ, talk about
one of these things is not like the others
. Thanks mate

Ugh. Nano?
Thanks lol

Love it. Such stance, such styling

Haha, excellent! I’ve got donuts, we all bring something into work on our birthday so I’ve brought 24 krispee kreme. It’s not bad.
Ps. you can call me Scott

I like these. They share interior parts with my car. They are front engine though
Thanks!
![]() 09/13/2018 at 18:39 |

Front-mid? Lets not start that debate. Yes, definitely excluded.

You would be expecting me to post a smart...
Well..
You’re wrong!
![]() 09/13/2018 at 18:54 |
|
Yeah, this one is mine. Chan had a 355 and sold it for a 4C and rb1971(?) has a 328. I took this picture last week after I gave her post
road trip
bath.
I drove a 328 and 355 before getting the 348. To me, it blends the fun part of the older models (simplicity and telepathic non-assisted steering) with a more modern seating position and ergonomics. This is my first targa and I’m definitely a fan. It’s much more dual personality than a convertible.
![]() 09/13/2018 at 19:10 |

Yup! The Nano is a RR layout! So is the iMiev. And the stupid smart car too :p
![]() 09/13/2018 at 19:22 |
|
You have a smart roadster?
![]() 09/13/2018 at 19:23 |
|
Sure do. That one.
![]() 09/13/2018 at 19:28 |
|
Wow that’s awesome! Has it been reliable? How many miles on it?
![]() 09/13/2018 at 19:42 |
|
Haha! The last three are some of my favorite cars (the Skoda 105/120/130/Estelle series, the classic FIAT 500 and the FIAT 126....though the Autobianchi Bianchina [3rd pic] has to be up there too considering it’s 500-based!)
It may never have been produced, but the
Chrysler ME Four-Twelve
certainly was cool...
![]() 09/13/2018 at 19:42 |
|
Sure. If you drive it backward. ;)
![]() 09/13/2018 at 19:55 |

Thank you! I’ll be here all week.

Just where is “the engine” of this bad boy? ;)
![]() 09/13/2018 at 22:26 |
|
Ooh. RWD RWS as well!
![]() 09/13/2018 at 22:27 |
|
I do know of the ME Four-Twelve from various 00s video games.
I know little of Autobianchi. IIRC they were in Gran Turismo at times, but they were slow as shit
![]() 09/13/2018 at 22:27 |
|
Holy shit I SAW AN iMIEV THE OTHER DAY! I almost forgot. I think I was drinking.
![]() 09/13/2018 at 22:28 |
|
A big part of me wants to see what happens when you throw one of those around a wet road. The RR has gotta be fun at least some of the time
![]() 09/13/2018 at 22:29 |
|
I can never spot a 348 vs a 355.
Awesome! I’m a big targa guy, my last 5 or 6 cars have had t-tops. Glad you like it
![]() 09/13/2018 at 22:29 |
|
I’m not sure they fit the definish of engine , but they’re definitely rear mounted. Kudos!
Now...what
wheel drive
is it..
![]() 09/13/2018 at 22:29 |
|
Nice! Look at dat camber, yo
![]() 09/13/2018 at 22:30 |
|
Ugh! So stock! So pretty. Though I can’t agree with having the lights up during the day. That’s the entire point of hidden lights.
![]() 09/13/2018 at 23:25 |
|
Yup, the Bianchina has the same ~500cc Inline 2-cyl with 17 or so horsepower that powered the 500.
![]() 09/13/2018 at 23:40 |
|
Haha. Great for post-war transport in a post-war depression. Not so great in a video game.
![]() 09/13/2018 at 23:42 |
|
Oh I like that. Not quite the car Nissan based the Figaro on, but inspiration I’m sure
![]() 09/14/2018 at 00:20 |

Nice! They are mostly on the same chassis (like the 308/328, 360/430, 458/488). Much of the body work above the bumper and black line is the same) So they do look similar if you don't look at them all the time haha
![]() 09/14/2018 at 04:39 |

I got in in May at nearly 55,000.
So far it’s needed a crank position sensor (fitted by me after much struggling and buying of obscure tools - you need a T25 bit and an E12 socket ) and a handbrake switch, diagnosed and fitted by a garage. Both are common issues.
I’ve just had the clutch actuator and clutch bite point adjusted, normal service items that I
think haven’t been done for som
e time.

Could be, they do have very pretty lines! You could get them in Estate form as well! :D
![]() 09/14/2018 at 20:22 |
|
Yessss. Not sure how the hell they fit an engine in the back of that thing.
![]() 09/14/2018 at 20:23 |
|
I never noticed that trend. Ferrari do have a history of doing like a half-new model every second generation don’t they?

happy birthday!
