12k miles on these garbage Dunlops, and I’ve managed to rip the sidewall off one. Good thing these are $250 each are you fucking kidding me!?

19"?
20"?

19" stock wheels. That’s a 225/45R19 . I can’t figure out why a freaking Dunlop is $250 while Pilot Sport A/S3's are $200.

this is why i’m happy to keep stock 14" tyres on my Lancer.

What sidewall? I don't see a sidewall.

This is why the first modification I made on my car was to downsize from the stock 18's to 17's. The wheel well is now filled with tire instead of wheel, as God intended.

The factory spec tires on my wife’s Fit were Dunlops. I’ve never had so many tire punctures in my life I think 5 in total. After 30,000 miles I had them replaced with some nice Michelins

Th e D unlops on the 6 are junk anyways and ridiculously expensive. I would suggest getting something else that’s better and somehow cheaper like the Michelins. Those are the tires I plan to get once my dunlops are gone.

jeeebus! you could fit a whole chicken parm in that grand canyon of a sidewall failure!!!

You get the luxury of a 45 sidewall? The ISF is 245F/ 255R /35R19

I agree. I can’t believe Dunlop got these tires as OE for cars.

I’m working on a Change.org petition to have the rest of the Mods let me ban you. So far it has -1 signatures and I’m not even sure how that happened.

You got kinda lucky on that one that you didn’t screw up the wheel.
We’ve actually been moving away from the lower profile tires on some of our fleet cars, just cause we’ve g acked so many wheels. It’s cheaper to buy a set of 15" steelies for a mid-2000's Subaru than to replace a single 17 " alloy. Tires also start getting cheaper at that point, and the summer students driving the hunks of junk won't notice or care.

I was looking at 18s to help the ride a little bit and give me more tire options, considering not many places carry 19" tires.

Just wait until you have to find winters for those too.

Yeah those are going onto some 17" steelies for winter tires.
