I remember when that was written, thinking, man, this guy understands me and my hobby. Not only my hobby, but my life.
Its crazy to see the datestamp on that post and realize that Ive been a member of the Oppo and Jalopnik community well before that (albeit with a different account, but still).
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

That was the post that got me to migrate from jalopnik to oppo. back then jalopnik was okay, less adds more writing, and more actual car talk. However when I came to Oppo, I instantly knew i was home. T hese are my people.

The author also had the greatest sentence I’ve ever seen used to reply to someone being a bit haughty - “You sound like a man who has never combined a leaf blower with a swiveling office chair.”

There are also horn enthusiasts. Largely in the Philippines, people who will get mass quantities to mount on their bikes and hoard vintage Bosch Supertones.

I found oppo while just dabling in being a wee commenter on the FP and somehow stumbled on to the modbox panther build. C licking on a hammerheadfistpunch comment was involved . Early in my poking around on oppo I somehow found this. Shortly thereafter I knew I found my interwebs home.
