I took one of my 0 hp death traps out to find a nice quiet spot to eat breakfast. What are we up to this fine Saturday morning?

Nice. Raleigh in name is still around but I think it’s owned by one of the big Chinese conglomerates. Mine is over 20 years old and comes from when their US branch was still building bikes in the USA.

Lawn care. Weeding the front bed is top priority.

Ugh. Right now I have no lawn but I’ve got weeds peeking up from my zeriscaping and need to get on that.

I got it for a 5-day 200 mile gravel road bike-and-camp trip along the C&O canal in Maryland in 1998. About the only thing original left on it is the frame, though it’s been about 5 years since I put much work into it. It’s about time for a new bike I think. I’ve been saving up so I can spend around $3,000 on something that’ll last a while.

That looks lovely. I slept in a bit and I’m being lazy, but then I need to clean.

3 grand will get you something pretty top of the line (near top of the line in the case of full suspension)
ive had nothing but good experiences with trek and specialized
giant was terrible for me.. that was one poorly built bike...
next one will be a cannondale... i want to try me a leftie
course with all those you pay premium for the brand
bulls make nice bikes https://www.bulls-bikes.com/kategorie/bikes/mountainbikes.html
some of my mates have them solid bikes decently priced
feel free to completely ignore everything i just said :)

I think a human pedaling a bicycle is good for more than 0hp!
This morning I am taking the STi out to Solitude Ski Mountain and doing some disc golf followed by camping and hiking nearby. Hopefully I will enjoy some nice roads too but that would just be an added bonus.
Been working nights so the only way I am going to see a sunrise is if it comes out at the end of the day lol.

Brekkie and r ushed off with the boys to their trampoline/gymnastics class. And now that that’s done, I’ve got laundry and baking and visiting and regular weekend stuff to do.
I don’t get out on my bike the weekends much, but I commute most days with it . It’s such a fun bike, and by far the best I’ve ever owned.

I’ve always been tempted by Marin. I’ve ridden a couple and hey are very nice.
