T he movie was one I watched so much as a kid. The song “The Legend” from the movie is one I still regularly listen to on YouTube a few times a month . I catch the movie on the premium channels when it’s on there. Just last week I was talking to someone about the limited edition Trans Ams that Burt Reynolds endorsed . Hell, when someone at work tells me that something can’t be done, I tell them that it’s possible to get to Texarkana Texas and back in 28 hours, noting that it has never been done before and so on (you know the routine) because I am that jerk at work.

This movie touched our hearts a lot. So, let the feels happen as they may.
