Yeah I know it’s actually foam board and plywood, sorry for the misleading title.

Well, isn’t cardboard just wood that needs to stop skipping leg day?

it’s actually foam laminate board, and just a little bit of plywood for vital areas like the motor mounts and wing roots.

Flite Test does some crazy builds
They’re also big proponents of the “everyone can fly” RC plane movement, with designs and kits that use basic materials and can often be built for under $100

I thought it looked like foam, but they were saying plywood. Possibly they were only referring to those specific parts.

All of their designs are based on Dollar Store foam board. For this one, they did use a few laser-cut plywood bits as Jawz said. After they built a number of models with foam board, they sourced their own foam board which has some waterproofing and now sell it in their own pre- cut kits. My son and I built a couple of them. They aren’t very clean, but they fly well and are ridiculously easy to repair when you crash.
