who drinks a 12 oz cup of coffee. Regular coffee mug is 8 oz iirc.
So this is 485 mg per 8 oz, which is still 4-5 strong cups of coffee inside of one cup.

Death Wish is also smooth as fuck going down, too.
(Like, I don’t usually drink black coffee... Death Wish, OTOH, tastes quite good black.)

I used to. I also had raging heartburn.

We buy whole bean Colombian and decaf and mix the two, so we’re always drinking half-caf. I wouldn’t sleep for a week if I drank this.

might have to try it for *reasons*

Yeah. The write-up on that caffeine website suggests it may not have as much caffeine as the the company says it has, but it’s still loaded. I do not drink coffee, but the mugs in my house are all 16 oz.

I’ve been using caffeine regularly and it helps bigly with my depression, along with the meds. But I use 100mg caffeine pills and get a total of about 250 mg/day. Sometimes more, but not often.
I learned about
The End hot sauce
in this space, I think from Hammerhead, and that’s what led me to post about the coffee when I stumbled across it.

Let me know what you think. I don’t drink coffee.

I heard of this stuff on the radio where it was described as “a safer upper than cocaine...” Like holy hell I like being caffeinated but not uncomfortably energetic .

That’s a little more than two cups. When I finish the pot of half-caf, that’s probably about what I’m getting.

I drink coffee from a
24 oz thermos. A coffee serving or cup is 6 oz as per the lines on a drip coffee pot and really old coffee mugs, so this 12 oz cup is 2 servings.

Yeah, this stuff sounds pretty hardcore.

I don’t swallow the caffeine pills, but add them to some liquid.

if you really need to kick it up use this to make cold brew.

pretty big?

If you really, really, really need to kick it up, get Black Blood of the Earth made with this: http://www.funraniumlabs.com/2011/05/bbote-experimentation-death-wish-coffee/
(BBotE is basically triple cold-extracted coffee, ultra-concentrated. I’ve not had it, though.)

Or just take meth.

Not even going to try. Amazon blocks Australians from the US website. We are forced to their AU site where we get scammed by resellers. And I’m not paying 70 bucks for a 358 gram bag of beans when I can get a kilogram of a good local roast for $30.

I absolutely love Death Wish coffee. I got a couple bags of the K cups a while back. It is the smoothest strong coffee I’ve ever had. I may or may not also have too high of a caffeine tolerance.

I was just gonna say that! jesus.. yeah if you need that kind of rush smoke some damn meth!

But doesnt it get cold fast?

I’ve tried it and it tastes pretty terrible. It’s a blend of cheap beans that they roast the bejesus out of. Robusta beans are awful, but have about double the caffeine as Arabica beans. They are also dirt cheap.
I’d rather just drink more cups of something that doesn’t taste like a tire fire.

This is my mug. Usually a 4 oz Americano (espresso and hot water) so I can enjoy it hot and I’ll just get another when I’m ready for it. I try to drink it while it’s still hot.

Not if you drink it quickly. Also helps that I like iced coffee, so cold isn't a problem for me.

Too much caffeine ruins the enjoyment of drinking the coffee in t he first place. I stick to Lavazza in my espresso machine.

just before the big fall out of 2008 I used to live in Moscow V ermont, which is close to W aterbury, which is where the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters factory was (before the whole Kurig deal and name-change and moving some production out of state...). They had (still have, actually, but its not the same any more...) a factory outlet ca fe/store where they sold factory seconds and overstock and the like. T hey had a frequent coffee buyer’s club where you got a free pound for every 10 you bought (even discount stuff) I used to trade in my free pound just about once a month.
I lived alone.
I drank ~10 pounds worth of coffee a month. (thankfully, due to the discount and seconds my hab it only cost about $100/mo)
I went to a cardiologist because I was having frequent arrhythmia.
they put me on a 48 hour long-term heart monitor and saw over 2000 events in that time period.
I was running ~5 miles a day, eating well and not drinking too much, my blood pressure was low/normal , my resting heart rate was low, and I had quit smoking. I showed all signs of being quite fit and healthy as ide from the atrial arrhythmia (not the dangerous kind)
it took them a while to finally ask about how much coffee I drank (after asking abo ut drugs and stuff)
when I told him the car diologist said (after giving me a slightly incredulous look) “Oh. W ell that’s your problem. try cutting down to about 1/4 or less of that consumption. ”
the caffeine withdrawal headaches were epic. but now that I only drink an average amount of coffee instead of a super-insane-crazy-huge amount the arrh ythmia is completely gone.
I also don’t have the energy to run ~5 miles every day any more.
I also started smoking again (but have since quite, hopefully for good this time, it’s been five years...)
tradeoff s, I guess.
/this ramble brought to you by Coffee, JawzX2, and Boost Addict Enterprises Inc.

I don’t drink coffee, but I’m with you. When I did, I’d drink a carafe full of something milder.

I don’t even drink coffee. I’ll have a decaf now and again and I don’t like dark roasts because indigestion.

And a satisfying ramble it was. I was born in Burlington and my mother lives in White River Junction. I experienced Green Mountain coffee — Colombian Supremos as I recall — in the late 80s and it was unlike any coffee I’d ever drunk. Blew me away. Sorry to hear that they’ve Keurig/moved away. That’s a shame.
I get about 250 mg of caffeine a day, maybe 300. It does wonders helping me manage my depression, along with a prescription med.
