I F-ing
dare you.
I went from Toledo to Wooster, OH today to visit my daughter, who just started college there at the Agricultural Technical Institute/OSU Campus. I lost track of the number of cruisers on the highway. If there weren’t at least a dozen people pulled over with flashing blue lights behind them, I’d be surprised. The Troopers were out in force today. I would imagine they’re
going to be hitting it pretty hard all weekend, so be warned. Set the cruise at
or just above
the limit, and just wave at the cops as you roll by.

When I helped road trip the IS-F home, the only speed trap we encountered was in Ohio. I entered that at 15 over the limit. Luckily, the cop wasn’t actually checking speed at the time, so I was good.

They do come out in force on holiday weekends. I usually count them on my way up to visit family in Michigan.
Rest of the time they don’t seem to care if you do 5-10 mph over on I
75, though.

I mean if they can catch my bike....

Stlouis I-70 west is usually an adventure with everyone heading to Mizzou for a weekend game or to/from school.
A few cars with tiger tails sticking out of the trunk today...
I wouldn’t understand..

Nope. Ohio
State Troopers run the 5.7 liter exclusively.

Crazy, I made a Facebook post about this exact phenomenon today. Made a trip from Dayton to Upper Sandusky and back. I literally lost count.

Seattle PD has their cars installed with an idle-saver system that helps keep the engine from wearing out too much. IdleRite for the Crown Vics, for example.

Ohio Highway Patrolmen do not fuck around. Holiday weekends are the worst time to travel here.
However, I do look forward to police surplus hemis.

Ohioan here, it’s all part of the challenge.
Also, I just found out that one of my buddies has a private paved lane about a 1/2 mile long that runs parallel with the unlimited access 4 lane. I can run 100 mile an hour along the lane while Highway patrol cruise to and from the barracks with no repercussions .

Yeah, 5 over is good, creeping on 10 over and you may have a problem, if you’re the only one out in the left lane. Keeping with traffic and you’ll be okay. Gotta love Waze. Nice to know the police are sitting a few miles ahead and then just sit and laugh at the goofballs that slow to 5 under once they see the trooper. Yeah, by then it’s too late. They’ve already clocked your speed.
They’re just doing their job, stay safe out there.

You may outrun a cruiser, but tough to outrun a radio. And I imagine on the holidays they have their planes in the air too.

And yet my wife's hometown is literally swarming with meth labs. But gotta get those speeders!

I drove from Cincinnati to Massillon for a wedding so I shared a part of the same stretch of road for a while. There was a trooper in almost every turn around on the highway on the way up. I’m used to that between Columbus and Cincinnati but it was on steroids this weekend.

Take the turnpike. Rules are different there. They chase overweight and under-speed semis for the big tickets usually.

Seriously. I'm not taking 71 in a C4GTS on a holiday weekend. I can be doing the limit and will get pulled over.

Yeah I saw two with a car pulled over within a mile on route 35 in Dayton today. They’re definitely out in force this weekend.

As a resident of Ohio, the whole state is a fucking speed trap
