I’m driving a ZR-1! Here’s some more info!
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Oh the power key! This small extra key turns on a completely secondary fuel system that dumps more go-juice into the engine. The Veyron, the Boss? Who doesn’t love a power key and this beat them by nearly 2 decades.
Rememb er when interior colors actually matched the exterior colors? Even the seat belts AND carpeting !
Speaking of seatbelts, this has the ol double spool belt with a retractor at the top and bottom of the belt. Small thing but pulling this belt feels luxuriously smooth compared to modern (probably safer) belts. And don’t forget the orange “cinch” button that lets you feed the belt back into a ratcheting lock which holds the belt tension for a tighter grip into the seat
Before they knew how to make compact airbags, definitely the most dated piece of the car... oh and the CD/ cassette player.

I always loved those ZR-1s. And one of my favorite cars from the original Need for Speed game.
A guy around the corner from my friend had one of the purplish-blue
looking ones - always loved that color.

If I had that car for a day, all my 80s and 90s tapes would get a workout.
Funny how people always talk about the Corvette interiors being historically their big letdown, and here we are talking about the great features.

Awesome. Do you mean that blue or maybe Deep Purple Metallic?
I would totally drive a purple Corvette.

Yeah, the plastics are pretty cheap and there are few creaks/squeaks here and there but I totally look past that stuff when I’m driving.
Honestly, these are the greatest seats I’ve ever sat in. They feel like an old school super car, and are super adjustable. They have only gotten wider and flatter every generation until the C7 and its competition seats.

These are actually the later ‘95 ‘96 wheels on a ‘93 . The standard wheels are the saw blades.
If you ever want to easily update the look of your Vette, put the following models wheels on.

I always hate when makers get something right, and then change it for the worse for the sake of change. For my money, good bolstering and support is good for all modes of driving.
Also, my Riviera had the color coordinated interior. I miss that, too.

I thought the zr1 came with the deep lug 5 spokes and the regular versions got the sawblades and salad shooters

Depends on the year of ZR-1. All of them had the deep lug rear wheels, but there were a 3 or 4 different styles.
You can see the stock deep lug saw blades in this pic a little better.

There are actually a couple subtle variations of sawblade. In the pic below, i f you look close at the edge of each “ blade” you’ll notice that the one on the left is flush with the wheel face while the right one has a smooth radius all the way across the “blade.”
Similar but different, both deep lug ZR-1 wheels

The blue - but in sunlight it was a little bit purple from what I remember. Love the ass end on that car - so wide!
