A friend of mine was cleaning out his watch collection a few months ago and sent me a couple of cheap quartzes that he didn’t wear anymore. After swapping out the battery and taking a link out of the bracelet, I’m wearing this Citizen for the first time today.
I think it looks nice enough. There’s a pretty sunburst on the dial that catches the light quite well. Chronographs and date windows are always appreciated, but I wish the bezel rotated . Not a huge fan of the bracelet design, and I don’t think there’s much in the way of options to swap it out with something else.
What’s on your wrist today, Oppo?

SKX! Like pretty much always these days. Though this week I put it back on the original bracelet to switch things up a little, I usually wear it on a Bond NATO.
Nice pickup though! Can’t argue with free.

Same as always, a Citizen Eco-Drive Titanium. I don’t change watches very often. I might still be wearing the same Seiko that I wore for 20 years if my wife hadn’t given me this one.

As with most days, r ocking the Rolex.

Because my Apple Watch is charging...
...I should switch, it’s probably charged now.

I bought my first watch about three years ago and now I just ordered a second 10-piece watch case the other day. Oops.

Gosh I love Seikos. Can’t go wrong with an SKX!

That’s a good daily. Love the blue face. I’m not a fan of numbered bezels that don’t rotate. Feels fake. Still a great find, though.
I’m wearing my favorite Fossil. It’s a very unusual square face bracelet.

I also received a neat yellow dial Fossil from my pal. Haven’t worn it yet because I don’t have much yellow in my wardrobe to pair it with!
Agreed regarding bezels.

A Seiko “Recraft” solar chronograph. Not as interesting as yesterday when I was wearing my Alpinist.

Currently have my Shinola chrono on with a blue and red BluShark fabric nato strap.
Nice looking Citizen.

Or never wear it again. With a Daytona, not sure I’d ever wear a smart watch.

I have an SNKM98, and this solar Recraft is on my wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HZT4Z54/?coliid=I14XR4UQX1E3MO&colid=7U3WBY49Q0QN&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

The finest Amazon has to offer. My dad gave me this because he couldn’t read it. It’s my work watch.

That’s...a pretty busy dial.

It’s like a Breitling but sized for human wrists.

Well the fact that my dad is a pilot did influence the purchase of this watch. I just googled what makes this watch special, this thing has a slide rule built into it! It’s crazy. I have no clue how to use it. https://www-forbes-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.forbes.com/sites/arieladams/2012/12/06/why-some-pilot-watches-have-a-slide-rule/amp/?amp_js_v=a2&_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQCCAE%3D#referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From%20%251%24s&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.forbes.com%2Fsites%2Farieladams%2F2012%2F12%2F06%2Fwhy-some-pilot-watches-have-a-slide-rule%2F

My well patina’ed (grungy) but utterly unkillable base model G-Shock!
I appreciate this is a little like showing up to cars and coffee in a 93 Tercel but I got this when we had kids cos everything I had before just got trashed.
Like your buddy’s terce l fiel d car I’ve taken this of f some sweet jumps and submerged it in the lake and it still works perfectly.

Yeah, I’ve seen slide-rule and pilot’s watches before but others I’ve seen have had an easier-to-read dial. Not enough contrast between the different components on your dial I think. It does look nice though!

Nothing wrong with a little G-Shock action!

I used to wear my “dumb”
watches daily. After the first Apple Watch they have all been relegated to only when I need to dress up.

I already have two similar Citizens so I think I’m good. Thanks though!
They really are solid watches.

It is all action... I did just buy a neat Tag knockoff for a toy though , review coming shortly

I still haven’t really seen the purpose of a smart watch. I’d rather have a collection of nicer watches then a smart watch, but to each their own.
![]() 08/31/2018 at 11:17 |

Well, they aren’t mutually exclusive - to me the Apple Watch is part of my watch collection. I like that I can easily change the look of it, and if I feel like wearing something else, I do.
I actually use very few of the features that make it a smart watch. Mainly for call/text screening when my phone is out of reach, quickly checking the weather,
and fitness monitoring.

It does not get treated nice but thanks.
