Instead of thumbs, block out license plate of car you’re selling with diecast copy.

No, its not my BIG Viper, I can only afford LITTLE Vipers. And no, its not for sale. Probably. Yet.

I forgot I had a couple old Racing Champions Vipers (red and black) of this era at work in my little Dodge diecast display. Came in handy.

This is where my heads at. I don’t get the trend. Are you selling as is, no preshow of the car? Are you going to take the plates off when they come to check out the car?

Yup. Only law enforcement can look up a person by their licence plate, and even then, only with cause.

There was a guy that moved to my school for troubles at his last school. One day he told me why. He said what he used to do was join the local car forum for the area. Find a modified car, f ind the mod list, and pre-sell the parts on the car. You used to be able to look up the address with one additional piece of information like a last name or a birth date you still may be able to (I’ve looked up my DMV info vin, address, etc  with just my plate and my last name through their site) . Then go and take the parts off the car at night. Pretty devious, even if the owner searches craigslist or ebay, the parts were listed before theirs were taken.

Those were obviously not cars that were for sale, if they were then that could be a different story, granted some people don’t want others to know where they live.
