OF COURSE YOU FU**ING WANT ONE! The hardtop alone can be resold for $1k!

What’s the catch? It’s a 1.6L 1991 Miata that was parked for 4 years...it doesn’t run. Here’s the run-down from the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! :

Hard top attached to free car

I have a ‘91 white hardtop that is attached to a car that I drove into a garage 4 years ago with the intention of turning it into a race car. I drove it into the garage and have not touched it since. Because Life.

Hard top $800 white no defroster
Car : free
(must take car)

$600 if you can get it on Labor day or the day before.


Car has not been started in 4 years will definitely need to be towed (it did drive in though)

I am struggling with the fact that Miata have been a thing for this long...longer. In 1989...I had a mullet and now I’ve got nothing!

I’m a Moderator over at a forum where people do similar things. They sign up then wait like a decade to finally make a first post. It continues to boggle my mind how such ends up happening.

That said, I’m glad I’m not currently in possession of an extra $600 to play with or a place to store a fifth car...

Let me think, I have no space, nothing to tow it with. But I am in Chicago.  This is going to require a lot more thinking.  My productivity for the day has just been shot.

I could actually do this... Chicago is only about 5-6 hours from me. I have $600. I have access to a car hauler trailer. I ca n spare another garage space.

It won't pass the spousal acceptance test, though.

The first year of production was 1989 but supposedly the car was done by the mid-80s and postponed to focus funding on the soon-to-be- profitabl e MPV. Hell, the tail lights were done as early as ‘83 when a NY modern art museum accepted them for a gallery focusing on beauty in industrial products!
