Just a though, is VW the only car manufacturer that has developed campers from the factory with warranty? Also ironic how the California is sold in most places of the world except in California.

Corvair vans were offered as a camper.
Though primarily marketed at traveling salesmen you could probably include Nash and Hudson models where the seats folded into a full sized bed.
The Dodge A100 was offered as a camper as well, but I’m not sure if it was a factory option.

Much more barebones - really just a bed, not a full camper - but Chrysler offered a convertible second row option for the minivans in the earlier days :
