No, not tires shoes. Actual shoes.
Danner mountain 600 low, Full grain. Headed to Alaska in September and I needed something warm and waterproof. As a bonus I think I could pull these off around the office. Comfy.

It’s like the unholy offspring of a Croc, Timberland, and Street Sneaker!
Nice. Sometimes you need comfort and durability, but a full hiking boot is just too much.
Thank you for not choosing those LL Bean duck shoes.

I was ready to pull the trigger on the mids...then I realized I never need mids, I walk about on dry rocks most of the time.

Hey man, vietnam. And point of origin doesn’t always mean crap. Any company worth their salt that manufactures abroad works hard to monitor quality control to ensure its up to standard. I remember when black diamond made that mistake when they moved some capacity to China and they got bit hard (whole shipments of gloves and ski poles shot) so they invested a lot of money and revamped the factory and brought training and staff over to bring them up to speed, now they have FEWER defects than the US made stuff.

Owing to our LC/LX chats the first thing I thought when I saw the thumbnail was you had one of those little “December to Remember Event” red bows like they put on the hood of the Lexus you’re supposed to buy your wifey/husbandy.

I recently discovered that Vans of all folks make shearling-lined “boots” that are very close to the traditional Vans style.
