Here is a nice drift wing. It is on a S13 Nissan. It is accompanied by some nice Work Equips, and some fallen leaves.

I am new to posting to on Oppo, but I have been lurking here for a very long time, like, since before the third age long . I am hoping to do a regular posting thing of nice photos that I have taken, and I hope for it to become a thing that I do regularly . I enjoy critiques and comments as well. I am here to share and learn, thanks.

Admittedly wings are something I never gave much thought to. Besides channeling tire smoke into aesthetically pleasing swirls . What purpose does a drift wing serve at the lower and , more importantly, side on pressures they would build up?

Drifting can be done at well over 100mph.

Setting up a drift car is all about finding the perfect balance of grip/control when going sideways. A wing may be just the ticket if you’re car seems to get “too sideways” too easily.

Not buying it your average enthusiast is caressing a buck twenty steering with only throttle. Besides that is not how airflow works over a laminar surface.

Turn that wing sideways. Then put a large flat surface moving in the same direction under and around it and try again. To be clear, even on really well designed cars a small wing is of negligible effect until consistently holding fast highway speeds.  Going forwards.
