My dad loves this movie. He’s watched it too many times to count and I’ve probably seen it like 5. I can’t say it’s in my personal top ten (Honestly, i don’t know what would be) but it’s a decent film.

My wife: Not this again. Me: Oh yeah.
![]() 08/27/2018 at 23:09 |

Fight you? Hell no! I've probably seen it at least 100 times. I love it!!
![]() 08/27/2018 at 23:10 |

Only 100 times? AND YOU CALL YOURSELF A FAN.

We’re still talking about movies right? HIYO!
![]() 08/27/2018 at 23:11 |

Alec Baldwin is underrepresented in the original art.
![]() 08/27/2018 at 23:13 |

Nobody is gonna fight you on that, bruh.

I saw this in the theatre, this and ninja turtles played that night. It cost 4.90 for the 2 movies and 4.90 for a big ass popcorn and pop.
![]() 08/27/2018 at 23:20 |
|
I mean, it could be 200. It's not like I'm counting.
![]() 08/27/2018 at 23:22 |

You had to pop the corn yourself?
![]() 08/27/2018 at 23:23 |

100x yes.

This and the Blues Brothers top my list.
Nothing beats the Blues Brothers. But the H unt for R ed October is pretty great.

You’ve been to montana, we call it pop too.

Do you really think some random Baldwin brother is even worth mentioning when compared to S ean C onnery?
![]() 08/27/2018 at 23:40 |
|
It’s fine, but top 10 of all time? No. It wasn’t even the best movie of 1990. That would be Joe vs The Volcano.
![]() 08/27/2018 at 23:44 |
|
That’s fine but where are the ot her 9?
![]() 08/28/2018 at 00:02 |

It’s Pete Schweddy.

I can’t believe you trolled him with Joe vs. the Volcano and it worked. He must not have been paying attention.
![]() 08/28/2018 at 00:19 |

My brother was just interviewed by our local NPR affiliate, and I was reaaaaalllllyyy hoping he was going to drop a Schweddy reference. I guess that’s frowned upon when you have a big boy job.
Good times.

Mark Hamels finest movie.

Excuse me? Joe vs The Volcano is brilliant. It is both extremely dark and extremely silly. Besides, that mullet that Tom Hanks has at the beginning is spectacular.

I’m sorry, I can’t hear you through my brain cloud.
The star of the whole movie was that luggage trunk. I still want one.
![]() 08/28/2018 at 00:31 |
|
True. The trunks are #1 Ossie Davis is #2 and Abe Vigoda is #3.
![]() 08/28/2018 at 00:34 |
|
One of those movies that always stops my channel surfing. I can start watching it at any point.
![]() 08/28/2018 at 00:39 |
|
And it takes a lot to upstage Abe Vigoda. He’s a national treasure.
![]() 08/28/2018 at 00:46 |

I think the first scene is a Range Rover at JFK?
I loved it because of that.

I watched WWZ in its entirety while sitting on a tarmac in Frankfurt. My flight ended up being cancelled and I had to sleep in a shitty German motel that night. I was able to sweet talk the Lufthansa employee into getting me a flight to Houston the next day , where I rented a car and drove back to Phoenix.
This was all accomplished with an eight month- old and a two year-old in tow who’d been backpacking through Europe for a month. They kept it together until we hit Tucson, where they got their first an d only taste of McDonalds ice cream.
I think I’ve finally processed this experience and am ready to watch WWZ again.
![]() 08/28/2018 at 01:48 |

I'll give you one ping only.
![]() 08/28/2018 at 02:28 |
|
So a 7 month kid went backpacking through Europe for a month and the relative civility of an airport failed to harsh their mellow? I mean you sound like pretty solid parents throughout until this apparent dysfunction of WWZ.
I don’t really pay Hollywood much attention.

no argument from me.

Truth fact.

By far the best movie starring a Russian submariner with a Scottish brogue.
“Ryan, some things in here don’t react well to bullets.”
![]() 08/28/2018 at 09:50 |
|
I think it was the two hour wait standing in line for Customs followed by the 17 hour drive to Phoenix that finally did them in.
![]() 08/28/2018 at 10:02 |
|
one of the movies I watch every time it’s on...Shotime is running it a bit now. They had it, Crimson Tide and K-19 Widowmaker on in a row the other night. Might have just thrown Das Boot and U-571 in there!
Connery’s Russian accent was laughable though!
![]() 08/28/2018 at 10:14 |

Favorite of mine also, I just scored it on laserdisc for $2 because why not.

What did you stop off for brontosaurus burgers or stub your toe? 17 hours is a considerable amount of time considering the distance and terrain.
![]() 08/28/2018 at 11:58 |

Texas is a considerably large state. It’s 1,200 miles from Houston to Phoenix and cops in New Mexico are dicks. Averaging 70 mph for 1,200 miles is making pretty good time when traveling with two little girls.
![]() 08/28/2018 at 12:10 |

Reading fail, I only scrolled back up as far as Tuscon to Phoenix.
