N ew wheels put on after the original wheels began to peel. A new windshield is on next weeks schedule and m y car will be looking like new once again!
It is a very common problem with earlier GT wheels on the 6 and it was covered under warranty. This what they looked like before and yes, I did absolutely wreck one of the wheels on a curb. Oops.
And now all perfect and shiny again.
Time will tell if the new ones peel or not, but
I have been told the problem was fixed
. Just have to avoid myself and those curbs that sneak up on me out of
nowhere.

Nice. I wanted a new Mazda6 so bad, but my new job means I have to get something with real 4WD.

My 6 has been off road more times than I care to admit, but it’s perfect for 90% of my needs so I deal with the other 10 being less so.

Ah, ho w nice it must be to have “peeling wheels” be one’s most pressing maintenance concern.

My dad had the wheels peel on his 6 GT too. I think it’s been almost a year snce they were replaced under warranty and they’re good now.
