13.5 for a salvage title? CP, though I have no immediate point of reference to back up that opinion.

Was gonna say NP, then saw the S title. Good luck insuring it.
Why is it salvage instead of rebuilt?

I believe this car would be easily double that price with a clean title, which is crazy to me but whatever.
Tentative NP if you can insure it...

I’d offer a grand less because of the stupid eBay headlights.
But if its good upon inspection, NP. Where else are you going to get a 400hp manual sedan for that cheap?

Had a few salvage title vehicles, insurance is no issue.
Some states so salvage title, some do rebuilt, some do insurance claim paid. They all mean the same thing.

Insuring salvage title vehicles is not an issue.
At least it’s never been for me.

Salvage title doesn’t mean much and IMO it’s priced accordingly. A Clean title version in the same condition would be almost double this price.
Honestly most vehicles are totaled if the air bags deploy. If it was fixed right, who cares?

Tbh I’ve never tried it, I just keep hearing that it is.
Might depend on both your insurance company and your driving record - but good to know that it’s doable!

Considering they are going for almost 30k with clean titles, I’d say less than half value with a salvage title is a NP

I’ve had random salvage title vehicles since I was 16. I’m with Am Fam and they’ve never so much as questioned it. Even had full coverage on a couple.

Honestly most vehicles are totaled if the air bags deploy.
That’s only true in rare occasions , but living near an area that dealt with flooding I steer far away from salvage’s. Not worth the headache or insurance premium.

NP
If this wasn’t in Cali while I’m in Ohio, I’d probably be leaving work right now to go take a look.
Yes it’s a salvage, yes its a 10 year old car, but you just don’t see very many GXP M6s for sale. There are only 5 on AutoTrader right now, cheapest is $26.5k.
I still regret trading in my GT. They are great cars and can confuse the hell out of people if you slap on some long tubes.

Same sort of thing here would be around 30 grand without any issues around statutory write off...if an Aussie was forced to live in SF then they could do worse?

If it’s been flooded, it’s likely not a salvage vehicle. Many cases they dry them out, clean them up, and no one is the wiser until the electrical issues start popping up.
Minor front end damage+bags can easily exceed the value of most cars, leading to them being totaled. It really doesn’t take much with all the electronics and features in cars these days.
My experience insurance is no different on a salvage title vehicle than any other vehicle. People who tell you otherwise are talking out of their asses.
Only problem for most people is lenders will not give a loan on a salvage vehicle.

I'd want to see the repair order for whatever wreck caused it to be totaled. Mostly cosmetic stuff that added up quickly on a small volume niche car? Ok, np. Severe impact with intrusion to engine bay or passenger compartment? Pass.

That’s even worse and you’re right. I thought you meant they weren’t tagged as salvage if they were flooded, but yea those flooded cars could have a clean title... which is super fucked up .
Flood damage is no joke.

Buying a Salvage car is no big deal really. You research it, figure out why it was salvaged , then inspect it or have it inspected. If it’ s kosher, you get a killer deal. If it’s not you walk away.
Honestly, I’ve had more issue with “clean” title, “clean” carfax vehicles having major repairs hidden than any of the salvage vehicles I’ve owned. One such instance had clearly had the whole passenger side structure replaced, but because they did it cash without reporting, it had a clean title and carfax.
