There’s nothing wrong with spending time waiting, as long as it’s productive. He’s not suggesting anything as obtuse as running across traffic. He’s saying don’t fool yourself by saying “I’ll do this thing I want to do when I have more time.” You won’t ever have more time, you can only prioritize the time you have. If that means waiting for something, fine. Just don’t waste time waiting for things that won’t ever come.

Waiting to cross the street is often a wise investment of our time.
